We believe that great tea should do good, not just taste good. Our teas are carefully sourced from a variety of tea farms and cooperatives around the world, with a particular emphasis on East Africa — the region that benefits most from our profits through the organizations we support there, ensuring a direct connection between our products and the communities we aim to uplift.

When selecting our tea suppliers, we don’t just look at quality; we also review the reputation and practices of the farms, cooperatives, and regions they come from. We consider the reputation and practices of each supplier, naturally prioritizing those with ethical business practices, and respect for the environment. We are committed to ensuring our teas do not come from sources with a history of farmer exploitation or abuse. We understand the complexities and challenges in ensuring ethical sourcing in the global tea market, and we are committed to doing our part to address them.

However, we also acknowledge the complexities involved in global supply chains and recognize that it is challenging to guarantee absolute transparency in every aspect. This is why our commitment to ethical sourcing is an ongoing journey and an important one at that. We regularly review our suppliers, engage in open dialogue with our partners, and make changes when necessary to ensure that the tea we bring to you aligns with our values. Our packaging is 100% plastic-free and home compostable, ensuring that it breaks down naturally and doesn’t contribute to landfill waste. Our tea bags are also plastic-free and biodegradable, so you can enjoy your cup of tea knowing it won’t harm the environment.
